Description: Crisis Readiness & Trauma Support - This session will introduce the OODA Loop decision-making model and its application during critical incidents. Participants will also engage in hands-on practice applying tourniquets, pressure bandages, and field-expedient bandages to strengthen real-world emergency response skills.

Yes, reading is an act of resistance! Reading books is a celebration of knowlege and the human spirit of curiousity. Reading books (not screens) in public is a way to stoke the flame of hope in a world of uncertainty and worry. We will be doing silent reading of books in a high visibility spot on campus to ignite the spirit of public literacy and freedom of thought. Bring a book of your choosing (library books and banned books get extra credit) and join us in a peaceful act of resistance and hope. Forgot your book? We will have some to choose from.

Description: This will be a demonstration on how I was able to take old PDFs of handwritten math notes from videos from the first days of COVID and transform them into a Canvas ready page meeting the guidelines for accessibility. This will include an exposure to LaTeX and Overleaf—software solutions to document presentation—as well as the use of AI. We will go over individual prompts to help the process work smoother as well as areas where the transition still requires human interaction.

Brief Outline:Session will include: introducing Overleaf/LaTeX/ChatGPT, using AI to convert PDFs in LaTeX, editing the document in Overleaf, using AI to format for Canvas, and cleaning up the Canvas document.

Description: A 50-minute, facilitated action-planning session designed to translate recent student learning labs into concrete next steps for educators. In the weeks leading up to FLEX Day, Ourmedia conducts on-campus student listening sessions to surface students’ perspectives, attitudes, and uses of AI in learning and career preparation. During the session, faculty and staff engage directly with synthesized student insights, collaborate to identify instructional and institutional responses, and surface the supports, resources, and conditions they need to effectively integrate AI in ways that align with student needs and values.

Your program website is often the first place students look to understand where a program can lead. In this hands-on working session, you’ll add a career exploration widget to your program page and integrate key career information such as local employers, self-employment options, and common work settings.

You’ll also learn where this information comes from and how it can help prospective and current students better understand the occupations connected to your program. The session is open to all programs, not just CTE. Bring your laptop—participants will leave with an updated program page that provides students with clearer insight into real career opportunities.
