Percussion Instructor and Percussion Ensemble Director
Chris Carrasco is the Applied Percussion Instructor at Chabot College where he teaches the private lesson studio and directs the Percussion Ensemble. In addition to his duties at Chabot he teaches at James Logan High School where he serves as the Director of Percussion and Jazz, running two Jazz ensembles, percussion ensemble, and overseeing the marching percussion program. Under his leadership the James Logan Percussion Ensemble has made finals in World Class at WGI three times, and the Competitive Marching Band has been nearly undefeated for a decade. Outside of teaching Professor Carrasco serves as an adjudicator and clinician for US Bands, the Conn Selmer Institute, the Northern California Percussion Alliance, and the San Joaquin Valley Color Guard and Percussion Review.
