Maryam Younessi holds a Master’s degree in Physical Geography with a focus on geomorphology and hydrology, and brings over 17 years of teaching experience across colleges in the Bay Area. She has taught a range of courses in geography and environmental studies, emphasizing the relationship between physical landscapes and environmental processes. Her graduate research focused on watershed and hydrology management, reflecting a strong interest in water systems and landform dynamics. She also has strong expertise in geomorphology and fieldwork. In the field, she is able to recognize and interpret landscapes, and her observations often align with existing research conducted in those areas. She is committed to helping students understand real-world environmental challenges through a geographic perspective.
